Wedding Savvy gives back to the Community at Kids 'n' Kaboodle, June 16th 2008

Owner Raquel Shutt volunteered her planning skills to help the Chesapeake Children's Museum host their annual Kids 'n' Kaboodle event in Truxton Park. Debbie Wood, Director and founder of the CCM, descripes Kids 'n' Kaboodle as "an event focused on providing joyous free fun for children of all ages". The purpose of this event is to allow every child, regardless of income level, to enjoy the same things.

This year Kids 'n' Kaboodle hosted a stage with great local entertainers who also donated their time, energy, and product. A big thanks to the most AMAZING Annapolitan vendors who care enough to give back to the community and were a part of our exciting entertainment:

Our fabulous Emcee was Marc Simmons from C and J Entertainment, a great Entertainment company out of Odenton. Thanks to Chris Temple for agreeing to donate this service -- we would have had no sound system without you, thank you! http://www.candjentertainment.com/

Our great looking Kids 'n' Kaboodle sign was donated by the NEW! Fast Signs of Annapolis on West Street. Leigh Rand was amazing to work with and provided a speedy turnaround. You can find them on the web at: http://www.fastsigns.com/

Our super clean, bright new tent was provided by A List Party Rentals . We can't thank you engough for taking time out of an amazingly busy weekend to set this up for us -- and, to not charge a penny. Juan and the A list team are a class act for coming through for the children of Annapolis!

Last, but certainly not least, I can't thank my amazing staff enough for donating your time to help with face painting, tatoos, and clean up. I am so proud to work with a team who not only belives in what we do, but the community we live in! A big round of applause to Brittany, Bernadette, and Jeremy - thank you for your time.

It was my sincere pleasure to assist with this event. As a mother myself, I certainly enjoy any event where I can not only give back to the community, but involve my family.

Lead Coordinator Leslie Maloney to be featured on "Ace of Cakes"

Experienced Wedding Savvy Planner Leslie Maloney coordinated a fabulous wedding weekend for Bess and Steve on May 2-4th. Bess and Steve's cake was baked by none other than the phenomenal Chef Duff from "Ace of Cakes" on the food channel. Keep posted for a link to the show! In the meantime, please read what our clients thought about Leslie:

"Leslie has been phenomenal. I can't even begin to tell you how instrumental she has been since last May. Beginning with the Vendors, her/Wedding Savvy recommendations were amazing. I would have never found those people without Leslie's recommendations. She took my and Steve's visions and has made it a reality. Leslie is fantastic about making things happen. She's quick to respond to emails and I can't compliment her enough. She has to be the most patient person I have ever met! My favorite thing about Leslie is that she doesn't push her opinion. I have to specifically ask/beg to get her opinion. She gives advice, not opinions. It has worked so well because I have tons of opinions! I'm truly going to miss her when this is said and done. I have said this repeatedly that I could be a spokesperson for Wedding Savvy ! I can and would be honored to become a reference for any potential "customer" that is thinking about using your services. Seriously. Keep me in mind. Thank you so much for...well, everything! Please let me know if I can do anything to help/recommend Wedding Savvy and especially Leslie! "

Sincerely, Bess H.
